SPIRITUAL Ligur. व्यर्थव्यापारीभावे खेदो न कार्य:किं भोः ! प्रयासादपि वाञ्छितार्थाऽसिद्ध शं ताम्यसि रोदिषित्वम् ।। किं साम्प्रतं स्याद्दितेन?, पूर्व पापप्रवृत्तौ न विचारितं किम् ॥१४॥
| ( 4 ) Oh, good man ! why do you cry bitterly and feel excessive pain, when you fail to achieve your desired objects, though you stro ve hard for it ? Of what ayail are your lamentations ? Why did you not think twice before you set yourself to commit sinful deeds ?

De Maistry says that “ To know how to wait is the great secret of success” We must sow before we can reap and often have to wait long, content meanwhile to look patiently forward in hope; the fruit best worth waiting for often ripening the slowest, " But time and patience,” says the Eastern proverb, " change the Mulberry leaf to Satin "

ઉદ્યમ નિષ્ફળ થયેથી ખેદ ન કરો
“હે મહાભાગ! પ્રયાસ કરવા છતાં ઈષ્ટ અર્થની સિદ્ધિ નહિ થવાને લીધે શા માટે તું બહુ ખેદ પામે છે? અથવા સેવા મંડી પડે છે? કારણ કે હવે રવાથી શું વળવાનું છે? ખરી વાત તે એ છે કે પૂર્વ કાલમાં (પૂર્વ જન્મમાં) પાપ કરતી વખતે વિચાર કેમ ન કર્યો ?”૯૪
