SPIRITUAL LIGHT.
Cf My mind to me a kingdom is;
Such perfect joy therein I find, As far exceeds all earthly bliss That world affords, or grows by kind; Though much I want, what most men have, Yet doth my mind forbid me crave.

-Ancient Song, તમામ સુખે સન્તષના સુખની નીચે છે
તે સુખને સ્વાદ રાજાઓને મળતું નથી, તે સુખને અનુભવ દેવતાઓને થતું નથી અને તે સુખને સાક્ષાત્કાર ઇન્દ્રને પણ હેત નથી, કે સન્તુષ્ટ હૃદયમાંથી પ્રકટ થયેલ જે સુખમાં વિવેકી લેકે કાળ વ્યતીત કરે છે.”—૨૯ पूर्वोक्तमेवार्थ स्पष्टीकरोतिकामोद्भवं शर्म यदस्ति लोके दिव्यं महच्छर्य पुनर्यदस्ति । तृष्णाक्षयोद्भूतमुखश्रियस्तद् न षोडशी नाम कलां लभेत ॥३०॥
( 30 ). The happiness arising from worldly passions in this world and also the heavenly happiness are decidedly much inferior ( not even one sixteenth of ) to that derived from the total cessation of desires. પૂર્વોક્ત અર્થનું સમર્થન–
“લેકમાં કામક્રીડાથી ઉત્પન્ન થતું જે સુખ છે, અને સ્વર્ગમાં જે મહાન આનન્દ છે, તે, તૃષ્ણના ક્ષયથી ઉત્પન્ન થતી સુખ-સમ્પત્તિના સોળમા ભાગને પણ પહોંચી શકતાં નથી.”-૩૦
