( 10 ) encoreana ( ) literally means a cavern or a hole in the ground. Here it means imprisonment. itat (from Fara to know) that which knows, cousciousness तनुयन्त्रयन्त्रितम् ( तनुः एव यन्त्रं तस्मिन् यन्त्रितं तनुयन्त्र

Those persons surely are able to liberate their phenomenal soul which is encased in a physical frame, like one in captivity, who distinctly understand in their hearts that the body being full of the multitude of worms contributes to human miseries.
Notes:- This verse describes the composition of this human body in order to withdraw the mind from its attachment. This body of ours is but a mass of worms, humid entrails, tendons etc. tending to decay, disease and torments, and is also like a pot of filth full of the foulness of worldly affairs and mouldering under the rust of our ignorance. Consequently it is proper for wise inen to release the soul encased in it, by renouncing all attachment to it.
