બહિયા ઉ માણસુતરઓ, ચંદા સૂરા અવઉિજ્જોયા છે ચંદા અભિઇજીત્તા, સૂરા પુણ હુત્તિ પુસ્સેહિ દદી
માનુષોતર પર્વતથી બહાર ચન્દ્ર અને સૂર્ય અવસ્થિત તેજવાળા છે, ચન્દ્ર અભિજિત્ નક્ષત્રથી યુક્ત છે અને સૂર્ય પુષ્યનક્ષત્રથી યુક્ત છે. (૯૬).
The Moons and the Suns which are outside the Mount Manushottara have fix limited lustre (i.e. no increasement in the morning or decreasement in the evening) and are motionless. There the Moon is connected (only) with the Abhijita constellation and the Sun is connected (only) with the Pushya constellation. 66 ઉદ્ધારસાગર દુગે, સઢે સમએહિં તુલ્લ દવુદહિ. દુગુણાદુગુણપવિત્થર, વલયાગારા પઢમવર્જ મળી
બમણા બમણા વિસ્તારવાળા, અઢી સાગરોપમના સમયની તુલ્ય દ્વીપસમુદ્રો છે. તેમાં પહેલા સિવાયના વલયાકારે છે. (૬૭)
The total number of islands and oceans (dweepās and samudrās) are similiar to the total number of samayās of Adhi (i.e. 2) Udhāra sāgaropama (samaya = the smallest unit of time). The latter islands and oceans are double in size than the previous ones. પહેલો દ્વિીપ ૧ લાખ યોજનાનો અને ગોળ છે. શેષ દીપ- સમુદ્રો તેને વીંટીને રહેલા છે. પહેલો જંબુદ્વીપ છે, છેલ્લો સ્વયંભૂરમણસમુદ્ર છે. (૬૮)
The first island Jambudweepa is round (dish type); in shape. This island is 1 Lakh yojanās broad (in diameter).
