Beginning: अथ योगशिखां प्रवक्ष्यामि सर्वज्ञानेषु चोत्तमम् । 'यदा तु ध्यायते मन्त्रं गात्रकम्पोऽथ जायते ।। आसनं पद्मकं बध्धा यच्चान्यदपि रोचते । नासिकाने दृष्टिं कुर्यात् हस्तौ पादौ च संयुतौ ॥ मनस्सर्वत्र संगृह्य ओङ्कारं तत्र चिन्तयेत् । End: पुण्यमेतत् समासाद्य संप्राप्य कथितं मया । लब्ध्वा योगोऽथ बुध्येत प्रसन्नं परमेष्ठिनम् ॥ जन्मान्तरसहस्रेषु यदा क्षीणं तु किल्बिषम् । तदा पश्यति योगेन संसारच्छेदनं महत् ॥ Colophon:-इति योगाशखोपनिषत्समाप्ता ।। __No. 749. रहस्योपनिषत्. Siva teaches to Suka the four Mahavākyas-(1) प्रज्ञानं ब्रह्म (2) अहं ब्रह्मास्मि (3) तत्त्वमसि (4) अयमात्मा ब्रह्म – taken from certain Upanişada belonging respectively to the four Vēdas, together with the Şadangas required for their Japa or silent meditative repetition, and the Upanişad concludes by saying that Suka became a Jivanmukta as the result of the teachings so received at the bands of Siva.
