In the way of giving the contents of the Puruṣasūkta, this Upanisad teaches that Nārāyaṇa, the Supreme Being, creates the universe out of a fourth part of Himself and becomes Himself the individual soul by placing limitations upon Himself, and that Mōkṣa is the union of the individual soul with the Supreme Being.
