Begins on fol. 34 a. The other work in the MS. is Chũndőgyopanișad (fol. 1 a).
Contains the Vamśabrāhmaṇa, second Patala.
The Vamsabrāhmaṇa, according to the MS. described in No. 58, consists of two Patalas; the first, containing 6 Khandas, mentions the names of dieties, manes, Sāmagācāryas ard Pravartakācāryas of the Sámavēda to whom Tarpanas (offerings of water) are due; the second Patala, having 3 Khandas, mentions the line of teachers through whom the Sámavēda has been handed down from antiquity. The MS. under notice (No. 65) presents the second Patala al ne as the Vamśabrāhmaṇa and omits the first altogether. The MS. described in No. 64 begins the second as
