The Satapatha - Brāhmana, consisting of 100 chapters, is, according to the Kānva recension, divided into 16 Kandas. Accord - ing to the Madhyandina-Sakha, the same is divided into 14 Kandas. The names of these Kandas are given in the following extract. Of these 16 Kāndas, the codex contains the first ( 8 Adhyāyas' ), third (6), eighth (6), tenth (8) and thirteenth (8) Kandas. The Satapatha-Brāhmaṇa in the Madhyandina-Šākhā has been published by A. Weber with extracts from the commentaries of Sayana, Harisvamin and Dvivedaganga -
