How can he be at ease whose field is on the banks of a river, whose wife asscciates with another man, and whose residence is in a serpented house?
उपकारिषु यः साधुः साधुत्वे तस्य को गुणः । अपकारिषु यः साधुः स साधु: सद्भिरुच्यते ॥
जो नेकी करने वालों के साथ नेक रहता है उसकी नेकी की क्या तारीफ है। जो वुराई करने वालों के साथ नेकी करता है उसी को भले लोग नेक कहते हैं
What merit șs there in his gocduless, wlio is good to those who have done him good ? He is called good by the virtuous, who is good to them that have done him 'evil:
यथैकेन न हस्तेन तालिका संपूपद्यते । तथोद्यमपरित्यक्तं न फलं कर्मणः स्मृतम् ।। __ जैसे एक हाथ से ताझी नहि वजती उसी प्रकार उद्दम के छोडने से काम का फल नहि होता
As a clap is not produced with one hand, so no fruit of action accrues to liim who has given up work. पश्य कर्मवशात् प्राप्तं भोज्यकाले ऽपि भोजनम् । हस्तोद्यम विना वक्के प्रविशेन न कथंचन ॥
— कर्म करने से भोजन के समय पर भोजन मिलता है हाथ के उद्दम विना । भोजन मुह में नहि जाता
See, even the food served, from its dependence upon action, at the time of eating never enters the mouth without the effort of hands.
