all these reasojis we must conclude that Vádîudra lived during the reign of the king Srisimha alias Singhaņa of Devagiri about A. D. 1210 to 1247.
Vádindra's Works--Now let us make an enquiry as to what works were written by Vadindra. He has not referred to any of his other works by namie in his Mahavidyi-vidambana. But at the end of the book he observes other kinds of faults falling under the heading of particular Arthántaratá affecting particular Mahavidya syllogisms will be set forth in another place." Bhuvanasundara in his commentary on this passage says that "in another place! means in another book.". Thus it is clear that Vádîndra had also written another work criticizing the Mahavidyí syllogisms in detail. But it cannot be traced.
Vádîndrás pupil Bhatta Rághava has quoted the following verse under the name of Vádîndra in the commentary of Nyáyasára of Bhasarvjua without mentioning the name of the work from which it was extracted:
तदुक्तं वादीन्द्रः
यत्र यत्रास्मदादिष्टदूषणोद्धारसंभवः । तं तं पन्थानमाश्रित्य व्यतिरेकी समर्थ्यताम् ॥
___Manuscript of Nyayasāra-vicharas leaf 44. As this verse is not found in the Mahavidya-vidambana, it must have been taken from some other work of Vádîndra on logic. 1 येतु महाविद्या विशेषनिष्ठाः भङ्गिविशेषेण अर्थान्तरताविशेषाः, तेऽन्यत्र व्युत्पादयिष्यन्ते इति ।

महाविद्यावि. टीका पृ. १४६ 8 The following information from the manuscript of Nyáyasár-vichára is given here as it is of historical interest. In this commentary Bhatta Raghava has the following passage:
एतेन यत्खण्डनमण्डनैरीश्वरवादे दूषणमुदितं तत्परिहतम् । एवं हि तत्-शुक्तिकायां रजतमित्यत्र रजतज्ञाने यदरजतं प्रतिभाति तद्रजतविषया मनीषा वृषभध्वजस्यास्ति न वा । नाद्यः, शुक्तिकारजतविषयत्वे वृषभध्वजमनीषाया मृषात्वप्रसंगात् । नेतरः, शुक्तिरजतस्यैव अज्ञानात् असर्वज्ञत्वप्रसंगादिति ।
Manuscript of Nyáyasára vichára, leaf 6. II ere the Khandanamandana alluded to is Shribarsha, the author of Khandana and the israrvida' meant is Shriharsha's Israribhisandhi' which is mentioned in Khandana by Shribarsha himself in two places. The 'Távaravada' mentioned by Bhatta Rághava is not the 3rd Parichheda of Khandana, because no such argument as is stated in the above passage is to bo found in that Parichheda. This Îśvarábhisandhi of Shribarsha seems to have been well-known at Rághava's time (A.D. 1252). But no Manuscript of it has yet come to light.
