This is a work on prognostication by means of a skilful combination of five vowels which represent five different birds. The number of vowels indicates the Greek origin of the augury. Beginning :
प्रणम्य श्रीमहादेवं सर्वशास्त्रविशारदम् । भविष्यदर्थबोधाय पप्रच्छुर्मुनयो मुदा ॥ तेषां वचनमाकर्ण्य निजगाद महेश्वरः । त्रिकालज्ञानबोधार्थं पञ्चपक्षी प्रदर्श्यते ॥
अनेन शास्त्रसारण लोककालत्रयं प्रति । बलावलानि दृश्यन्ते सर्वकार्येषु निश्चितम् ॥
