The first part of the MS constitutes a manual of worship of the deity. With the exception of the introductory verses its beginning generally agrees with a portion of the MS (Fol. 4B) described in IO. IV. 2549. This incidentally gives the mantras for the use of wine (Fol. 19-20) which are also given in the Mahākālasamhitāyām sodaśapātram (6058 above).
The beginning, colophon and post-colophon statement of this portion are given below. Beginning :
ॐ श्रीखात्मने गुरवे शिवायों नमः । ॐ श्रीदेव्यै सदा खफलदायिन्यै नमः ।
श्रीगणेशाय नमः। ॐ अधुना पद्धतिं वक्ष्ये श्रीशारिकाचनसंज्ञितां । गद्यपद्यादिवाक्येन सकलागमनिश्चिताम् ॥ प्रातःकृत्यमकृत्वा तु यो देवौं भक्तितोऽर्चयेत् । तस्य यूजा तु विफला शौचहीना यथा क्रिया ॥
