46. उपाङ्गललितापूजनम् | Upāngalalitāpūjana.

The present MS has been described in L. II. 709. It describes the worship of the deity in connection with a vrata in her honour performed by the southerners on the fifth day of the bright fortnight of the month of Aśvina. The vrata is described in detail in the Vratarka of Sankarabhatta (Calcutta, Samvat 1914, pp. 44ff) and the Vratarāja of Viśvanatha Daivajña (Bombay, Śaka 1789, pp. 67ff). A katha of the vrata, stated to belong to the Skandapurāna, is given in the above-mentioned works as well as in a MS described in ASB. V. 3956. The details of worship as found in the present MS appear to be based on an Upangalalitakalpa. These details generally agree with those in the printed works.
