The present MS is described in L. I. 428. The author is clearly different from the great Sankarācārya who is referred to in the work as follows (Fol. 4A):
अतएव अम्भोजमण्डलदर्शनात् कमपि मणिपूरे इति शजरा
चार्य श्लोकस्य महाधौरेत्यत्र चानुपपत्तिः । It also refers to Puşpadanta (Fol. 8A) and Trikāndaseşa (Fol. 2A). This commentary has been published in the edition of the $atcakranirūpana of Arthur Avalon (Calcutta, 1913).
After the colophon definitions of a vīra are quoted from the Kulasāra and Mundamālātantra.

The present MS contains the text up to half of verse 50 and an anonymous commentary up to verse 41.

घट्चक्रदौपिकाटौका तन्यते नाथदेशतः ॥ अथ शब्दो मङ्गलपूर्वकालानन्तार्थः ।
