Occasionally the present MS seems to represent an abridged version of the text as found in the previous MS. The second colophon of the previous MS is absent here though the topics, dealt with in the section containing it, come to an end on Fol. 49A. The third chapter is here wrongly put as chapter 1 in the. colophon on Fol. 69B. Portions following this colophon do not agree with similar portions in the previous MS. These portions in the present MS deal with various types of nyāsa, e.g. şadādhāravidyānyāsa, caraņādinyāsa, etc. Some additional verses are found at the beginning of the present MS which agree with those occurring in the MSS described in L. VII. 2261 and Bik. No. 1335. A verse at the end of the colophon of chapter 3 (Fol. 69B), which is also found in L. VII. 2261, gives the date of composition of the work:--
श्रीमुखाब्दे शके वाण-त्रिवेदशशिसस्मिते ।
याम्यायने सिते मार्गे गुरावेकादशीदिने । Additional verses at the beginning of the MS:
श्रीशिवाय नमः । शिव [अादौ गुरुः प्रोक्तस्तस्माद्विष्णुः प्रजापतिः . ततो ब्रह्मा वशिष्ठश्च ततः शक्तिः पराशरः ॥ १ ॥ व्यासः शुको गौडयादो गोविन्दाख्यो गुरुः परः । ततः श्रीशंकराचार्यो विश्वरूपाचार्य एव च ॥ २ ॥ ततो बोधघनाचार्यः ततो ज्ञानधनावयः। ज्ञानोत्तमशिवः पश्चात् ततो ज्ञानगिरिः स्मृतः ॥ ३ ॥
