The commentary, though stated to be the work of Kāśinātha, is occasionally found to agree with the naukā described above. A MS of it, with a slight difference in the second introductory verse, has been described in L. IV. 1714.

श्रीगणेशाय नमः । श्रीदक्षिणामूर्त्तिगुरुभ्यो नमः । करैर्दधानः परशुं कुरङ्गं
वराख्यमुद्रामुपदेशमुद्राम् । वटस्थमूले विबुधोपसेव्यः
सदा शिवायास्तु सदाशिवो नः ॥ नत्वा श्रीदक्षिणामूर्तिचरणाम्भोरुहद्दयम् । काशीनाथः प्रकुरते टीका मन्त्रमहोदधेः ॥
