The work which is divided into three sections gives in a general way the inner sense of mantras, as referring to the Supreme Being, speaks of different types of initiation meant for different rites and followers of different sects, and enumerates thirty-two kinds of shortcomings of human beings. Beginning :
श्रीगणेशाय नमः। श्रीदक्षिणामूर्त्तिगुरुभ्यो नमः । दक्षिणामूर्तिपादाजभ्रमरौभूतमानसः । काशीनाथः प्रतनुते मन्त्रसिद्धान्तमञ्जरौ[म् ॥ अथातः सर्वमन्त्राणां देवता ब्रह्म मायया । शवलितं ब्रह्म तत्तु ब्रह्मेन्द्रामग्रादिनामकम् ॥ पृथक् पृथगपाधेस्तु वस्तुतो ब्रह्म केवलम् । निरास्पदं वसंवेद्यं सच्चिदानन्दलक्षणम् ॥
मन्त्रेषु नाममात्रे तु सप्तैव हि विभक्तयः ॥ तासामर्थः[?] प्रथम[स]स्तक्का मन्त्रार्थ उच्यते ।
यन्नाम्नः प्रातिपदिकं तेनात्मा ब्रह्म लक्ष्यते ॥ 2A, सर्वत्र चतुर्थन्तपदे यत्प्रातिपदिकं तद्ब्रह्मा ।
नमः स्वाहादियोगेन ब्रह्मात्मैक्यं स्फुटं मनौ ॥
