देव्युवाच ।
दक्षिणामूर्त्तिगुरुभ्यो नमः । श्रीशक्तिसंगमतन्त्रे [I. 8.38-50]
The title as well as the name of the author are found in a later hand on the reverse of Fol. 1 as also at the end of the work where the title is given as नित्याद्यवतारभेदप्रकाशिका. The work gives an account of some of the religious sects of the Hindus, describes the origin of various deities including some of the Mahavidyas and some of the incarnations of Vişņu, and points out the characteristics of their worship.

देवेश श्रोतुमिच्छामि विष्णुभेदान् शिवस्य च । वैखानसो भवेदादौ श्रीराधावल्लभी तथा ॥ गोकुलेशो महेशानि तथा वृन्दावनी भवेत् । पाञ्चरात्रं पञ्चमं स्यात् षष्ठः श्रीवौरवैष्णवः ॥ रामानन्दो हरिव्यासी निम्बार्कश्च महेश्वरि । ततो भागवतो देवि दश भेदाः प्रकीर्त्तिताः ॥ शिखौ मुण्डी जटी चैव द्वित्रिदण्डी क्रमेण च । एकदण्डौ महेशानि वौर शैवस्तथैव च ॥ सप्त पाशुपताः प्रोक्ताः दशधा वैष्णवा मताः । एतेषां वासनां देवि पूटणु यत्नेन शाम्भवि ||
