A MS of the work has been described in L. I. 368. The present MS contains the first seven chapters of the work. A MS containing eleven chapters of the work has been noticed in R. G. Bhandarkar's Report on the Search of Sans. MSS in the Bombay Presidency during the year 1882-3 (No. 387).

3180. YIGHTERIAI Ātmarahasya. Substance, country-made paper. 121 x 4 inches. Folia, 1-77 (of which 673 and 73B are blank). Lines, 9 on a page. Extent in ślokas, 2,000. Character, Bengali. Appearance, old and worn out. Complete in 19 ullāsas.
The work is more of the nature of a philosophical treatise than a ritualistic hand-book. From the end of chapter III onwards it is in the form of a dialogue between a disciple and a preceptor. The name of the work is definitely given as Ātmarahasya in the colophons of the commentary described below. The name of the compiler though not explicitly given elsewhere appears, from the concluding verse, to be Śrīnātha. The MS is full of explanatory marginal notes. Beginning :
