Substance, country-made paper. 18 x 4 inches. Folia, 1-319. (The number of folia should really be 309 as after Fol. 56 the numbers 67 etc., are given in place of 57, etc.) Lines, 7, 8 on a page. Extent in slokas, 8,950. Character, Bengali. Date, Saka 1674. Appearance, old. Incomplete.
The first part of this work in 21 chapters has been published in the Gaekwad's Oriental Series (Baroda, 1932) as also by P. Sarma (Bharat Subhacintak Press, Deoghar). This MS has been described in L. I. 405. The work is also described in 1.0. IV. 2589 and Bik., No. 1320.
The numbers of chapters are occasionally wrongly indicated. Chapters 18ff in the first part of the work and 17ff in the third are respectively indicated through inadvertence as chapters 17ff and 16ff. Thus these parts really consist of 21 chapters each and not of 20 as would appear from the last colophons. Also according to I.O. (loc. cit.) the first part contains 20 chapters, the last of which agrees with the 21st chapter of the printed edition.
In Book II (Fol. 78A-198) colophons of chapters 10-18 and of chapters 21-22 and 27, are not found. Two chapters are indicated as 25 (Fol. 134A and 135B).
