वैशाखशुक्लचतुर्दश्यां श्रीनृसिंहोत्सवः। तदुक्तं नृसिंहपुराणे-स्कान्दे च । वैशाखे शुक्लपक्षे तु चतुर्दश्यां निशामुखे। मजन्मसंभवं पुण्यं व्रतं पापप्रणाशनम् ॥ वर्षे वर्षे तु कर्त्तव्यं मम सन्तुष्टिकारणम् ॥ इति । वैशाखस्य चतु-।

The Ms. begins and ends abruptly. It is an interesting Ms. of a Smộti work containing dissertation on many disputed points, such as the validity of the re-marriage of a girl taken away by force and married or given in marriage by her parents to an undesirable person. It bears no date but the writing seems to be of the 18th century, A. D., so the author might live about the last quarter of the 17th century, A. C., at the latest. The author seems to have hailed from Bengal.

इह विशेषणमिति न्यायेन निमित्तभूतजन्मादिविशेषणत्वेनावश्यविवक्षणीययोस्तयोनिमित्तान्तर्गतसापिण्ड्यादिप्रतियोगिमात्रत्वेनानिर्णीतस्य निराकाङ्क्षस्याशौचाश्रयस्यापि विशेषणत्वेन विवक्षायाः कचित्तथाऽश्रयमाणयोश्चोपलक्षणकल्पनाया अन्याय्यत्वात्।
