The Ms. contains at the end of the chapter a table of contents. The Ms, is partly worm-eaten. It is written nicely. It contains to the end of the chapter on vyavabāra but begins abruptly towards the beginning of this chapter. The commentary is lucid. Compare this with our Ms. no. 8995 (specially fol. 162b of this Ms. with fol. 12 [Pt. II] of the previous Ms.), which will prove both to be of one and the same author.
- सुतरां विरोधाभावादनयोः प्रबलदुर्बलभावचिन्तनमेव तावदयुक्तमिति शङ्काशयः। नानौशनसायर्थशास्त्रधर्मशास्त्रयोस्तश्चिन्तापिऽपितु धर्मशास्त्रान्तर्गतयोरेवानयोस्तचिन्तेति एकविषयतया विरोधसंभवात्तचिन्तनं युक्तमित्युतराशयः ।
प्रबेश्य क्षिप्रं वरुणायेदमिति प्राग्वत् । ईश इति पूर्वस्य प्रतिपत्तिविधेरर्थवादोऽयम् । *-मग्रिमावपि जायन्ते इति वर्तमानवचमत्वमविवक्षित विकृतत्वं करणाविहीनत्वमित्यर्थ इति शिवम् ।
