Lopamudra is the wife of the sage Agastya. She has been deified as a manifestation of Amba; and the repetition of this Mantra is intended to propitiate her.

अस्य श्रीलोपामुद्राम्बामन्त्रस्य नित्यानन्दभैरव ऋषिः, गायत्री छन्दः, श्रीलोपामुद्राम्बा देवता; ह्रीं बीजं, ऐं शक्तिः, कीं कीलकं, मम श्रीलोपामुद्राम्बाप्रसादसिद्ध्यर्थे जपे विनियोगः ।
