From the above we learn that the Mg, belonged to the famous Nilakanth: Dikrita to whom, the author sent it him. melf for favour of review. Thus 'Anantabhatta, son of the famous Kainalākarabhatta was a younger contemporary of Nilakantha Dikaita. Thus the author flourished in the latter half of the 17th century. His cousin, Gigabhatha, alias Vil. vešvara, performed the coronation of Sivāji in 1674 A, D.
The above work is a commentary by Ananta bhata, on the Sástramálā which is itself a commentary on the Sūtras of Jaimini, by his father, Kamalikara bhatta. This avrtti of Apanta is also called Jyotena,
