Nos. 6129-6328 represent the Mgs. 'on Alaskāra preserved in this library. Among the Mes. described we find a number of works bitherto unknown and special attention is invited to them in the following pages.
SUDHỈNDRAYATI.
It is well known that VijayIndra was one of the most prominent of the pontiffs of the Madhvanatha. His pupil was one Sudbindrayati and he is the author of the work Alankäramañjarl, The author has composed a commentary also on the text. Un. fortunately the text is not preserved here though the commentary alone is found here and is described in Nos. 6124-30.
YAJÑANĀRĀYANA DIKȘITA.
Yajñanâriyaga, son of the famous Govinda Dikaita has composed the Alankáraratnákara (No. 5131)—work similar to the Pratāparudrlya of Vidyānátha,-- Raghunithaniyaka, king of Tanjore taking the place of Prataparudra here. This work is a companion to the Sahityarátnákara and Raghunathābhyudaya of the same author. Yajñanāröyaņa flourished about the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th.
