He tells us that he was a contemporary of the famous Sábaji, King of Tanjore (1684-1710) and he was one of the donees of the village of Babajirājapuram in the Tanjore District. The work under notice (No. 4782) was composed by the author at the request of the Maharatha King,
IRUGAPADANDĂDHINĀTHA.
Iragapada didhinătha, otherwise known as Bhaskara was the son of Māyana, brother of the famous Sāyaṇa, the author of the bhagyas on the Vedic texts. Himself was the commander-in. chief under Harihara II, King of Vijayangara in the 14th century. The works of this author are noted under Nos, 4737 and 47084785.
VARARUCI.
A Koba called Virarucakosa has been published in the Dvādaśakośasangraha issued from Benares but the Kosa under reference-- the Aindranighantu- happens to be different from that work. Who this Varar uci is and why he named the work Aindranighamţii are matters which cannot be determined at present.
KESAVA.
'The Kalpadrukosa or the Nāmakalpadra, as it is otherwise known, of Keśava Daivajña Pandita is described under Nos. 473941. The work was composed in A. D. 1680. For further infor. mation, the reader is referred to the introduction of the Pandit Rāmāyatāraðarmá to his edition of the work in the Gaekwad Oriental Series.
ĀDINĀTHAKAVI. Adinátha is the author of the Kavijanasevadhi described, under No. 4742.
