HEMACANDRA.
Hemacandra is the author of several works on lexicography. The following are some of his works known at present:
1 Adekārthasaigraba 2. Abhidhānacinta nasi
3. Nigbangubera
and 4. Dešináramála The first two alone are pres :rved in this library, Nos. 4723-26.
Hemnacandra's history is fairly well known. He flourished ander tbe kings, Jayasihma and Kumārapāla. He was tbe greatest of the Jain Acāryas of the times and was known as Kalikālasarvajñs. He lived between 1088 & 1176 A. D.
HALĂYULHA.
Haláyudha is known to be the ag:hor of three works i.e. the
(1) Abhidhänaratnamāli
(2) Kavira basya
and (3) a commentary on the Pingalasutras. The last work was composed in honour of Vikpati at the end the 10th century. The Abhidhäparatnamálá is represented by Nos. 4727-80
SĀKALYAMALLUBHATTA.
A poet poeder sed of mastery in four Languages, Sākalyamallubhatta appears as the author of the lexicon called Avyayasangrahanighaoţa, described under No. 4781.
VENKATESVARA. A pupil and a near kinsmaul of Sri Ramabhadra Dikaita, Venkatesvara is the author of a lexicon dealing with the words.
