Nos. 1427-1569 describe the Upanigad bhäpyas belonging to the Advaita sohool, Nos. 1870-1673 to the Dvaita school and Nos. 1674-1677 to the Višiąädvaita school.
The Vedāägas are next taken op. The Mss. on Sikąã, Chandas Nirukta and Jyautina (Nos. 1678-1723) are described. These are followed by the Møs. on Vedalakpaņa more particularly comprised by Vedic grammar, including Prátiśākhya and other subsidiary texts (Nos. 1724-1816). Nos. 1817-1942 contain notices of M88, belonging to the subject matter described in Volumes I-III, in the form of a Supplement, as these were detected too late for incorporation earlier. Here ends the Third Volume.
At the end of the Third Volume several Indices are added. For such indices, Volumes 1-III are treated as a whole. The indices deal alphabetically with 'Names of Authors, Owners of Mski, Scribes of Mss, and Names of Works,
VOLUME IV.
Volume IV describes in detail Srauta-Sūtras, Bhiqyas thereon and a portion of Srauta Prayogas. Nos. 1943- 2028 describe the various Srautasūtras belonging to the first three Vedas. The Srautasütrabhāgyas are then noticed in detail (Nog. 2029-2072). These are followed by Mss. ou Srautaprayoga (Nos. 2078-2306) chiefly dealing with the seven Haviryajñagamathās and their accessories. These are the Ādbina, Agnihotra, the Anvārambhaplya, the Darbapūrņamāsa, the Agrayapa, the Pipdapitryajia, the Citarmāsya, the Nirūdhapasubandha and the Sautrīmani sacrifices.
