is the author of the drama Kusakumudvatlya, described ander Nos. 4846-47. Atirätrayajin wrote the work in the middle of the 17th century. The drama seems to have been enacted in the presence of Nilakantha Dikgita at Madura.
SĀHARĀJA.
Sáhaji was the king of Tanjore between 1884 and 1710 A. D. The drama Candrasekharvilāsa is from his royal pon. It is described under No. 4359.
KRSNADEVARĀJA.
The most famous of the Emperors of Vijayanagara was Krpadovarāya who was ruling in the beginning of the 16th century. Himself a good scholar and poet, he patronised Sanskrit and Telugu poets to a large extent. A major portion of standard literature in Telugu was composed under his patronage
The drama Jámbavatíkalyang was composed by Kropadeva and it is described under Nos. 4366-67,
JĪVA.
This Nalananda (Nos. 4869-70) is a drama composed by one Jiya. He belonged to the Bhäradvājagotra and was the son of some petty Zamindar in the Telugu Districts.
SRIHARSA.
Sri Harga was the famous royal poet, belonging to the 7th century. He was the patron of the Bāņa Bhatta of Kadambarffame. The three dramas of Sri Harsa are well known. These are:
(1) Någananda (Nos. 4371-77) (2) Priyadarbiki (Nos. 4651-56) (8) Ratnávall (Nos. 4657-71)
