The author of this drama, Tātärya, belonged to the family of the famous Titicārya of old. He seems to have been a na. tive of Kumbakonam, wherein the scene is laid. He was the son of one Vanadrkivara, and seems to have lived in the 17th century.
The drama deals with the marriage of Sítă with lord Sri Ramacandra.
