The author of this drama is Venkateśa the son of Dharmarāja of Naidhruvakäśyapagotra. Venkatėsa is already familiar to us as the anthor of the Campukavya called Bhosalavamšāvali, described under No. 4240 (Vol. VII Pages 328791.) The author was a protege of Serfojee who ruled between 1711-1728 A. D.
The work deals with the greatness of Kanakagabhāpati the titular deity of Cidambaram, a famous place of pilgrimage in South India.
The work has not been printed so far.
