The author of the work is one Venkatācārya, son of Tātacārya and Maultikāmbikā The date of the work is not known. Probably it belongs to the 17th century.
This poem deals with the separation of Rāma from Sita and the consequent message of love which Rāma sends to her through a Kokila or Cuckoo.
