copies of the Amarugataka in this library. Almost all of them attribute the authorship of the Kāvya to Sri Sarkarācārya. It is the commentary of Vemabhūpāla alone which says that the author is Amaruka.
VÄÑCHESVARA
The author of the Mabinabataka is known by the name of Vaucheśvara and he belonged to the fainily of the famous Govin. dadikeita. He was a contenporary of Pratăpasihma Mahārāja king of Tanjore (A. D. 1741-64). His grandson, apother Vanchekvara, and identical with the commentator on the Hiraṇyake i Srauta Sūtras has commented upon the Mahiņabataka and it is noticed in Nos. 3947–19.
NILAKANTHAKAVI.
Nilakaộthakavi is the author of the Srågārabatakam, described under No. 3966. The work was composed in 1765 A. D. and the author says that he is the grandson of Vāñcheśvara through the daughter. It is very likely that the Väicheávara referred to is the same as the author of the Mahigašataka.
BĀNA.
Among the Gadyakávyan, the Kādambarl of Banabhatta is ropresented by a fairly large number of manuscripts (Nos. 3968 8990). The Gadyacintäinani of Vädibhasihma is represented by Nos. 3993 and 94.
DANDIN.
Among the copiee of the Dajakumaracarita preserved in this library there are 2 recensions, one & bigger one, corresponding to the Nirnayasłgara edition of the Dasakamāracarita and
