and Mauktikāmbikā.
One Dharmarajadīkaita commented upon it. This Dharmaraja, it is surmised might have belonged to the class of temple priests technically called Gurnkkals.
RAMACANDRA.
Ramscandra, the author of the Radhavinodakavya and its Commentary (Nos. 3838-41) was the son of one Janardana, who was himself the son of one Purusottama. It is likely that the author belonged to the Garjan District.
Acharya Shri Kailassagarsuri Gyanmandir
The forerunner of the Samdeśakavyas is that prince of Sanskrit poets, Kalidasa, the author of the Meghasandesa. Several imitations of that famous work have come down to us and are preserved in this library.
1. KOKILASANDESA by Venkatacārya, son of Tätācārya
2. CAKORASANDESA by Perusuri, probably the father of Jagannatha Pandita of Rasagangadhara fame.
3. HAMSASANDESA by Vedanta Desika, and another 4. HAMSASANDESA by an anonymous different from the previous one.
writer
Among the commentaries on the Meghasandesa preserved here, special mention may be made of Sthiradeva's commentary, described under No. 3885. The copy in this library is dated 1600 A. D. and therefore it is certain that the author is older but by how many years, we cannot say yet. The author was
evidently a Jain.
