VOLUME I. Volume I describes in detail the Samhitās of the four Vedas and the bhāļyas thereon. There are 590 Mes dealing with the Samhitās of the four Vedas. Along with the Rg.Vedasarghita the Rg-Vedic Miscellaneous Sūktas, the Rg. Vedasambitānukramapikäs and Rg-Vedapadapāthas are also noticed. Similarly, along with the Samavedasambitā, the Sámavedapada pāßhas, the Sāmavedagar.as and their Anukramanikas are described. After the Samhitās of the four Vedas the Samhitābhāļyas (Nos. 597-697) are noticed. This completes Volume I.
VOLUME II. The Second Volume begins with the Bräbmagas belonging to the various Vedas. Nos. 098-823 describe the Brāhmaṇas. The Brāhmaṇabhāgyab are then noticed (Nos. 829-859). After the various Brāhmaṇabhāşyas, the Aranyakas are described (Nos. 860 -898). The Upanişads are then dealt with (Nos. 899--1420). They are classified according to the Veda to which they are attached, as is described in detail in the Muktikopa nişad. Those that are not mentioned in the Muktikopanised are grouped under the general heading ‘Miscellaneous Upanişads'. Nos. 1421-1426 deal with a few Miscellaneous items belonging to the Brāhmaṇas and Upanimads. Hore ends the Second Volume.
