VOLUME I.
Volume I describes in detail the Samhitas of the four Vedas and the bhagyas thereon. There are 595 Mss. dealing with the Samhitas of the Four Vedas. Along with the Rg-Vedasamhitā the Bg-Vedic Miscellaneous Sūktas, the Ṛg-Vedasamhitanukramaņikās and Ṛg Vedapadapathas are also noticed. Similarly, along with the Samavedasamhita, the Samavedapadapaṭhas, the Samavedaganas and their Anukramanikäs are described. After the Samhitas of the four Vedas the Samhitabhaayas (Nos. 597-697) are noticed. This completes Volume I.

VOLUME II.
The Second Volume begins with the Brahmaņas belonging to the various Vedas. Nos. 698-828 describe the Brahmanas. The Brahmanabhagyas are then noticed (Nos. 829-859). After the various Brāhmaṇabhāṣyas, the Aranyakas are described (Nos. 860 -898). The Upanisads are then dealt with (Nos. 899-1420). They are classified according to the Veda to which they are attached as is described in detail in the Muktikopanisad. Those that are not mentioned in the Muktikopanisad are grouped under the general heading 'Miscellaneous Upanisads'. Nos. 1421-1426 deal with a few Miscellaneous itens belonging to the Brahmanas and UpaniBads. Here ends the Second Volume.
