VOLUME I.
Volume I describes in detail the Samhitās of the four Vedas and the bhāgyas thereon. There are 596 Mss. dealing with the Samhitās of the Four Vedas. Along with the Rg-Vedasamhita the Rg-Vedic Miscellaneous Sūktas, the Rg. Vedasamhită nukramaņikās and Rg-Veda pada pâthas are also noticed. Similarly, along with the Samavedasamhitā, the Sõmaveda padapāthas, the Síma. vedagānas and their Anukramaṇikās are described. After the Samhitās of the four Vedas the Samhitabhāsyas (Nos. 597-697) are noticed. This completes Volume I.
VOLUME II. The Second Voluine begins with the Brāhmaṇas belonging to the various Vedas. Nos, 698-828 describe the Brāhmaṇas. The Brāhmaṇabhāgyas are then noticed (Nos. 829-859). After the various Brāhmaṇabhāgyas, the Aranyakas are described (Nos. 860 -898). The Upanigads are then dealt with (Nos. 899-1420). They are classified according to the Veda to which they are attached as is described in detail in the Muktikopanişad. Those that are not mentioned in the Multikopa nişıd are grouped under the general
heading 'Miscellaneous Upanisads'. Nos. 1421-1426 deal with a
few Miscellaneous items belonging to the Brāhmaṇas and Upanimads. Here ends the Second Volume.
