A work giving the principles and characteristics of the ten different kinds of dramatic composition and of the various parts thereof.
The author is Dhananjaya, son of Visnu and a pandit in the court of King Muñjarāja. The work is divided into four Prakasas, the names of which are given below :

नमस्तस्मै गणेशाय यत्कण्ठः पुष्करायते । मदाभोगघनध्वानो नीलकण्ठस्य ताण्डवे || दशरूपानुकारेण यस्य माद्यन्ति भावु ( व ) का नमः सर्वविदे तस्मै विष्णवे भरताय च ।। कस्य चिदेव कदाचिंद्दयया विषयं सरस्वती विदुषः । घटयति कमपि तमन्यो व्रजति जनो येन वैदग्धी• ॥ उद्धृत्योद्धृत्य सारं यमखिलनिगमाना (न्ना) ट्यवेदं विरिश्चिः चक्रे यस्य प्रयोगं मुनिरपि भरतस्ताण्डवं नीलकण्ठः । शर्वाणी लास्यमस्य प्रतिपदमपरं लक्ष्म कः कर्तुमीष्टे नाट्यानां किं तु किञ्चित्रगुणरचनया लक्षणं संक्षिपामि ॥ व्याकीर्णे मन्दबुद्धीनां जायते मतिविभ्रमः । तस्यार्थस्तत्पदैरेव संक्षिप्य क्रियतेऽञ्जसा ।।
