सूत्र-बाढम्
पुरुषं प्रेषयिष्यामि व्यक्तमात्महितक्षमम् । (नेपथ्ये) सालक सज्जस्त्वम् ? सूत्र--पुरुषं प्रेषयत्येष यथा यौगन्धरायणः ॥

योग-यदि मे महासेनः प्रसन्नः किमतः परमहमिच्छामि (भरतवाक्यम्)
भवन्त्वरजसो गावः परचक्रं प्रशाम्यतु । इमामपि महीं कृत्स्नां राजसिंहः प्रशास्तु नः ॥

This drama is based on the story of the Rāmāyaṇa from the banishment of Rāma to his coronation. The work has been printed in the Trivandrum Sanskrit Series, according to which the author is Bhāsa. The name of the work also is not found given in the work or in this MS. The work derives its name from the importance given in it to Bharata's learning the death of Dasaratha from his statue in the Pratimagrha (picture hall). Beginning:
(नान्द्यन्ते ततः प्रविशति सूत्रधारः) सूत्र
सीताभवः पातु सुमन्वतुष्टः सुग्रीवरामः सह लक्ष्मणश्च । यो रावणार्यप्रतिमश्च देव्या विभीषणात्मा भरतोऽनुसर्गम् ॥
