This manuscript is said to have been copied hy Viõjimūri Subbanna, the copying of the first Sarga having been completed on Sunday, the 12th day of the bright fortnight of the Aśvayuja, that of the second Sarga on Sunday, the 5th day of the bright fortnight of the same month, that of the third Sarga on Monday, the 11th day of the dark fortnight of the month of Phälguna, in the year Raksasa, and that of the fourth Sarga on Saturday, the 14th day of the dark fortnight of the Vaisakha month in the year Nala.

This commentary on the Kumārasambhava is by Nārāyaṇabhatta, pupil of Krşņa. In the introduction the commentator justifies the completeness of the poem in the first eight Sargas; and also refers to another commentator named Sivadāsa whom he proposes to follow in this work. This commentary is being printed in the Trivandrum Sanskrit Series. Beginning:
षट्पद मुरवरितगण्ड कोटीरभरावबद्धशशिखण्डम् । प्रणमत वारणतुण्डं पदकमलप्रणतसकलसुरषण्डम् ॥
अपारकरुणापूरतरङ्गितहगञ्चलम् । कळायकोमलच्छायं जानकीवल्लभं भजे ॥ सुरारोतर्वक्षःकुहररुधिरक्षोदकपिशैः स्वतः श्वेतैः सन्ध्याकपिशशशिरवण्डाम्बुसदृशैः। नवोद्योतैर्भक्तप्रकरहृदयध्वान्तभिदुरा दया काचिद्दिव्या विलसति पुरुश्रेणिविपिने ॥
