Character, Devanagari. Condition, good. Appearance, new. Begins on fol. la. The other work herein is Rāmacarita 43a. Complete.
A poem in twelve Sargas or cantos describing the birth and the leading incidents and exploits in the life of Aoyutarāya who succeeded his brother Krşņarāya as the King of Vijayanagar. The author is Rājanátha, son of Aruņagirinātha. The work mentioned as Aoyutaramābhyudya on page 156(b) of Burnell's Catalogue appears to be the same as this work. The first sir Sargas of the work have been printed with a commentary in the Śrī Vānivilas Sanskrit series, Srirangam. Beginning :
अगजाननपद्माकं ( . . . ) एकदन्तमुपास्महे ॥ नालीकाक्षमलीकाक्षं नागेशयमगेशयम् ।
विपुङ्गवध्वजं धाम पुनवध्वजमाश्रये ॥ आख्यात(अव्याद)पूर्वो निधिरागमानामाद्यो वषाद्रेः पतिरच्युतेन्द्रम् । निरीक्षितुं निःस्पृहकाङ्कितं यत्(य) निरञ्जना एव जनाः क्षमन्ते ।। धम्मिलशैवालधरा विरानदपाङ्गमीनाधरविद्रुमाप्ता । धन्या पितृच्छायतयाब्धिकन्या तन्यादवन्यां श्रियमच्युतेन्दोः ॥ सुवर्णरूपैः शुभनायकाङ्करौज्ज्वल्यवद्भिर्ध्वनिमश्नुवानैः । परिष्कृतादिक्षितिपान् प्रबन्धैः प्राचेतसाद्यान् प्रणुमः कवीन्द्रान ॥
