This hymn in praise of Rāma is said to have been composed by Hanumat; and a repetition of the same is considered to absolve one from the sin of the murder of a Brahmin and to lead one to salvation after death, Beginning:
अस्य श्रीरामचन्द्रस्तोत्रमन्त्रस्य श्रीरामचन्द्रो देवता, श्रीरामचन्द्रप्रसादसिद्धयर्थे जपे विनियोगः ।
वायुपुत्रस्तथा मूर्छामपहाय शनैर्विभुः । आश्रित्य मानुषं भावं नारायणमजं विभुम् ।।
संस्तौति जानकीनाथं स्तोत्रैः स्तुतिमनोहरैः ।
नमो रामाय हरये विष्णवे प्रभविष्णवे ॥ End: .
य इदं वायुपुत्रेण कथितं पापनाशनम् । स्त्रोत्रं श्रीरामचन्द्रस्य सीतायाः पत्युरन्वहम् ॥ एतत्स्तोत्रस्य पाठेन नरकं नैव यास्यति । ब्रह्महत्याविनिर्मुक्तो देहान्ते मुक्तिमामुयात् ॥
