In praise of Nārāyaṇa conceived as the protector of his devotees when they are in an afflicted state. The nature and the manner in which Narayana protected and saved six of his typical devotees, viz., Prablāda, Vibhisana, Gajēndra, Pañcālī, Ahalyā and Dhruva are briefly referred to herein.
