ज्येष्ठे तु कुष्ठरोगी स्याद्बष्टष्षण्डस्तथैव च ।। जात्यन्धोऽङ्गविहीनश्च मूको बधिर एव च ॥ एतेभ्यो न ददुः कन्यां रम्भोद्वाहं (हो) विधीयते । कनीयान् कन्यकोढी स्यात्कदली नववाससा ।
आच्छाद्य तूष्णीं वैदिका (वेद्या)ञ्च निधायाङ्करपूर्वकम् । End:
एवं च विधिना कृत्वा श्राद्धान्तं च समाचरेत् ।
इत्याह भगवान् व्यासो वै लोकसङ्ग्रहणाय च ॥ Colophon:

Deals with the Vrata which consists in the worship of the plantain tree on the fourteenth day of the bright fortnight in the month of Bhārlrapada. This Vrata is observed with a view to obtain long life, and prosperity. A story in illustration of the importance of the Vrata is also given. Beginning:
भाद्रशुक्लचतुर्दश्यां कदलीव्रतम् । हेमाद्रौ भविष्ये-- यत् प्रसिद्ध्या समाख्यातं कदलीव्रतमुत्तमम् । तत्तेऽहं संप्रवक्ष्यामि लोकानुग्रहकाया ॥
