This Kavaoamantra is addressed to Sukra, who, according to the Purăņas, was the priest and preceptor of the Aspras; and its repetition is considered to have the power to secure protection to one from all troubles and dangers. Beginning: मृणालकुन्देन्दुपयोहिमप्रभं श्वेताम्बरं निग्धसिताक्षमालिनम् । समस्तशास्त्रश्रुतितत्त्वदर्शिनं ध्यायेत्कविं वाञ्छितवस्तुलब्धये ॥ शिरो मे भार्गवः पातु फालं पातु गृहाधिपः । नेत्रे दैत्यगुरुः पातु को श्रीकण्ठभक्तिमान् ॥ End: य इदं कवचं दिव्यं पठति श्रद्धयान्वितः । न तस्य जायते पीडा भागेवस्य प्रसादतः ।। Colophon: इति स्कान्दे पुराणे शङ्करसंहितायां शुक्रकवचं सम्पूर्णम् ॥ No. 7404. शुक्रमन्त्रः .
