This is a Sikşā treating of the euphonic doubling of consonants in Vēdic pronunciation. Beginning :
स्वरं स्वराच्चानुस्वाराध्यञ्जनं व्यञ्चने परे । द्विरूपमिप्यते रेफारस्वरपूर्वात्परञ्च तत् ॥ लवाभ्यामुत्तरम्पर्श इति प्राप्तिश्चतुर्विध (I) । न द्वितीयचतुर्थानां हित्वं तत्प्राप्तिगोचरे ॥ पूर्वागमस्ततः पूर्व वै यखि(?)भुजेषु च । पदा तेष्वानुनासिक्य (क्यं) पदसंहितयोक्तया । प्राकृतो वैकृतश्चापि तद्धर्मो बुध्यते सुखम् ॥ पदमध्यानुनासिक्ये स्पर्शात्पूर्वे तदुत्तमः ।
अन्त थाभ्यः परा तचेत्सवान्तस्थेति निर्णयः ।। Colophon:

Begins on fol. 13a of the MS. described under No. 885. Incomplete.
This is a treatise explaining the 8 Vikrtis or variations such as Jātā, Ghana, etc., in relation to Vedic recitation.
The 6th stanza which refers to a commentary under the name of Vikrtikaumudi seems to be an interpolation, as the M3. contains only the text. The reference at the end to an Adi - purana relating to Vēdic tradition is worth noting. Beginning:
सर्वज्ञन्तं जगत्सेतुं परमात्मानमीश्वरम् । वन्दे नारायणं देवं निरवद्यं निरञ्जनम् ।।
