406. ] Hymnotógy: Svetambara works Author.-- Jinavallabha Súri. For further particulars about him
see Vol. XIX, pt. 1, pp. 41 and 53. Subject.-- Eulogy of Lord Mahavira in verses which are sama
samsksta'. Thus this hymn is a nice example of bhaşa
slesa. Its verses can be looked upon as written in two i languages, Sanskrit and Prakrit as well. - Begins. fol. 900
aramaitu etc. as in No. 407. Ends. -- fol. 32
gå frar etc. up to him! Afo as in No. 467. This is 10 followed by the line as under :--

1891-95. Size.— 104 in. by 43 in. Extent. — 7 folios ; 15 lines to a page ; 54 letters to a line. Description.-- Country paper somewhat thick, tough and greyish;
Jaina Devanagari characters with frequent TUATATS ; suffi- ciently big, perfectly legible, uniform and very good handwriting; borders ruled in two pairs of lines in black ink; space between the pairs coloured red; foll. numbered in the right-hand margin ; red chalk used ; unnumbered sides decorated with a small disc in red colour in the centre and the numbered ones in each of the two margins, too; edges of each and every fol. more or less gone; condition on the whole tolerably good; both the text and its com
mentary complete. Age.-- Pretty old.
