1891-95. Author- Rupacanda. Two Jaina Hindi poets, Rapacanda by
name are mentioned in “हिन्दी जन साहित्य का साक्षात इतिहास". As stated therein (p. 180) Rûpacanda has commented upon Banarasīdāsa's Nafaka-Samayasara in Vikrama Samvat 1798.
Another Rûpacanda is known as Rûpacanda Pande. He was a resident of Agra and a teacher of Hemarāja Pande of Agra. He is the author of the following works:-
(1) परमार्थी दोहाशतक. (2) गीतपरमार्थी.
(3) मङ्गलगीतप्रबन्ध. • He is praised as a great scholar by Banārasidasa in his Samayasāra-nataka-bhasa (p. 10). This Rupacanda Pande flourished in the 17th century A. D.
