pigment used; complete ; condition very good. Age. - Samvat 1720. Author.— Jinasena Súri, pupil of Virasena Súri of the Sena sangha.
He is the author of Adipurāņa, a portion of Mahapurana and Parivab yudara. He finished in Saka Samvat 759
Jaye i havala lest incomplete by his guru Virasena. Subject.- 1008 names of Lord Rsabha uttered by Indra by way
of his eulogy. Begins.- fol. 10 ॐ नमो वीतरागाय णमो अरहताणं etc. up to सव्वसाहणं
स्वयंभुवे नमस्तुभ्यमुत्पद्यात्मनमात्मनि । स्वात्मा(म)नैव तथोद्भूतं 'पृतसेऽचित्यपृतये ॥ १ ॥ नमस्ते जगतां पत्ये लक्ष्मी मते नमोऽस्तु ते ।
विदां वर ! नमस्तुभ्यं नमस्ते वदतां वर ! ॥ २॥ etc. Ends.- fol. 184
स्तुत्वेति मघवा देवं जराचरजगद्गुरुं। सुत[] स्तीर्थविहारस्य व्यधात् प्रस्तवनामिमां ॥१०॥
इति श्रीजिणसेनाचार्यविरचितं युगादि(दे)व(वाष्टोत्तरसहस्रनामस्तवन समाप्त।
संवत् १७२० दुतिक चैत्र बदि २लिषतं । शुभं भवत। Reference.-- These verses form a part and parcel of Adipurana.
They occur as v. 66-227 of parvan XXV on pp. 600-630 of the edition named as "Mahapuranam" (Vol. I) and published along with the Hindi translation by "Bharatiya jnanapitha Kasi" in A. D. 1951.
