Description.- Palm-leaf thick, durable and greyish ; Jaina Devana
gari characters with Talats; small, quite legible, uniform and very good hand-writing; the Ms. presents an appearance of the work written in two separate columns, but, really speaking, lines of the first extend to the second; borders of each of the columns ruled in two to three lines in black ink; red chalk used; leaves numbered in both the margins; in the right-hand one as 1, 2, 3 etc.; and in the left-hand one as fa, ffa, ft, ut etc.; leaf r almost blank;
leaf 252 completely blank ; leaves 106 and 133 repeated ; leaf 206 missing; ink on leaves 154 and 155* faded ; leaf 189* illegible as ink on this leaf is practically gone; edges of some of the leaves partly worn out; the 25th leaf broken into two parts; condition tolerably fair ; there is a hole in the space between the two columns and a string passes through it; two wooden boards encompass the Ms.; Ratnávali and such other penances represented in diagrams (vide leaf 68" ); this Arhatstotra ends on leaf 3a which is not quite legible, ink having faded; 37 verses in all; this Ms. contains in addition the following 162 works :-- (1) afraia 'tara (? arfauria)
